About This Activity

The Platte County Agricultural Complex in Columbus, Nebraska provides participants a fun and challenging mud run course for the 2014 Columbus Dirty Derby. From beginners to marathon runners this course will challenge all types of athletes. Be prepared to walk, climb, run, and crawl through a course that will test your mind, body, and soul.


Runners to your gates... Beginning at the starting gates, runners will be let loose with the sound of the trumpets on the backstretch of the horse track. Continuing to run through the complex, participants will be challenged to go through, around, under, and over horse stables, livestock trailers, hay bales, tractor tires, telephone poles, and of course plenty of mud! From the grand stands spectators will have an excellent view of all the chaos. Runners, be prepared to get very, very dirty.

Runners and spectators will enjoy an after party with a live DJ, food, and alcohol.

**Prizes awarded for best costume/team theme!

All proceeds benefit the Columbus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and the Platte County Ag Society.

Start Time: 12:00 p.m.

Day of Event: Runners can register beginning at 11:00 a.m.

DJ will begin at 12:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for a fee. Anyone purchasing alcohol must have ID.
