About This Activity

** If you're ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY OR DoD Employees assigned to Columbus AFB, please sign-up in person at the base Fitness Center.**


** All participants (without Military ID) must complete an Entry Authorization Letter to gain entrance to the base on race day        

Zombie Run: This run is a mud-filled, 5K obstacle course through a zombie-infested wasteland. If you thought jogging 3.1 miles through the zombie apocalypse was an adventure, try dodging that army of brain-thirsty undead while scrambling through a series of rugged obstacles as well. Don’t worry though; after the race, the Humans and Zombies set aside their differences to share a cold beer and human food at the post-apocalypse after party. There will be 8-10 obstacles on course. How hard are the obstacles? You must try them for yourself to answer that question. It is not for your everyday person. You will need to train and mentally prepare for some of these obstacles. It’s a total team effort on the course. Your ‘friends’ or fellow Humans will help you over walls, through mud pits, under tunnels, up rope swings and through our surprise obstacles. Yes, you can do this!




Kid's Run: Cost $25 each, we have scaled down the horror to allow 5-13 year old participants the experience to run the one mile course while family members cheer them on to victory and survive the obstacles.


Aid Stations: Course officials and medical staff will be present during the entire event. If you get hurt, our highly trained EMT staff on call will work swiftly to patch you up. The courses will have water station.

Both zombies and humans get a race pack including:

•An awesome tee-shirt (please give size at time you sign-up)

•Lunch/ will be provided after each event for paid participants.

•The privilege of surviving a zombie apocalypse

•Admission to the Post party

• Medal to commemorate the event

Prizes: No clock and no winner. Isn't getting out with your brains enough?

Spectators: Spectators are always welcome and will be accommodated throughout the course. They’re also invited to the after party.  Food/ lunch will be available for spectators to purchase.

Team: We highly recommend racing with a group of trusted allies. This is the Zombie Apocalypse, remember? There are no team based awards, just the satisfaction of knowing which friends can be trusted during the end of the world and individual “dead” or “alive” medals.

Event details and schedule

Zombie Run: Registration begins at 9am and the first wave begins at 10am. The waves move quickly so show up early.

 Kid's Run: Race begins at 11:30am

Directions to event:

                From Tuscaloosa: Take Hwy 82W to Hwy 45N. Turn left on 786 East Gate Rd; this will take you to the East (Main) Gate.

                From Tupelo: From Hwy 45S turn left on 786 East Gate Road; this will take you to East (Main) Gate.

                From Starkville: Take 82E to Hwy 45N (Aberdeen exit). From Hwy 45N, turn left on 786 East Gate Road; this will take you to the East (Main) Gate.
