With the safety and well-being of our community being our number one concern, The Epilepsy Foundation of Colorado has decided to celebrate this event virtually. But if you're to up it, we still hope to see you, in-person, from a safe social distance on the Sunday, October 4!
What’s happening on October 4?
While we are disappointed that we won’t have our big event in Memorial Park on October 4, we still do hope to see you for our drive-through celebration! Participants can come to our flamingo-flocked drive-through with their cars decorated to pick up t-shirts and other fundraising prizes (more on that below!). Our friends at Suja Organic will be with us giving out complimentary full-sized cold pressed juice to everyone who comes! After you pick up your swag, we encourage you and your team to get out there and Walk to END EPILEPSY! While you're out and about, share with us on social media your crew in purple, the one you walk for, and your favorite four-legged friends. It'll be a day to remember!
What about fundraising?
People with epilepsy need us now more than ever. Our programs may have gone virtual, but that does not mean our mission has changed. We are creating an exciting and engaging virtual campaign and want YOU to be a part of it. We're offering a personally designed photo frame for the first 50 participants to raise $50! It makes fundraising that much easier and FUN! You are still able to take advantage of your Participant Center by logging in, sending emails, creating a Facebook Fundraiser (if you haven’t already!), and spreading the word to ask for your friends, family and co-workers’ support of the epilepsy community. Phone calls, emails, letters and text messages also go a long way to ask your peers for support.
How will I get my Walk to END EPILEPSY T-shirt?
When you raise $100 you will receive an official 2020 Walk t-shirt during our drive-through celebration on Sunday, October 4! There are a variety of other exciting incentives, so CLICK HERE for all of our contests and prizes. Each person who registers for the Walk and indicates he or she lives with epilepsy will receive a FREE t-shirt.
