About This Activity

The Semper Fi Society is a unique Texas A&M University Student Organization composed of Active Duty Marines, future Marine Officers, and prior service Marines. We will be hosting the “Semper Fi Society Mud Run” which offers the public a challenge and an opportunity to participate in actual U.S. Marine Training events. The Mud Run is a combination of three events; the Obstacle Course (O-course), the Endurance Course (E-course), and the Grenade Course. Similar to the “Tough Mudder” the run will include obstacles, mud pits, navigating through a stream, rope climbing, and much more.

This is a non-profit event. The funds aquired by this organization are utilized for equipment and training, education expenses, scholorships, and social events.

Students & Military must produce ID at registration.

Large Group Registration (20+) - Please contact me via email for pricing.

Event details and schedule

Individuals will start in groups of four with thirty-second separation between follow-on groups. The staff will do their best to accommodate running buddies and teams. Passing other individuals or teams is allowed. The course starts out with a 100-meter sprint to a rope-swinging obstacle, then circles around to the start of the O-course. Once the O-course is completed you will circle around to begin the Grenade Course. Once the Grenade Course is complete you will begin a 2 mile run to the start of the E-course. The Finish Line will be located in the same area as the Starting Line. This is an estimated 5k route composed of many obstacles that takes an average of 30-45 minutes to complete.

++Costumes are highly encouraged.

Parking is available in the immediate area at a “first come, first serve” basis. There are 200 spaces available. Additional parking is located at the George Bush Library and other campus locations.
