About This Activity

Your registration and support can help end child abuse in Walla Walla and surrounding communities. Take a stand with the Exchange Parent Aide Program and send a message of hope and support for families in our community! 

Event details and schedule

The Crush Child Abuse Run for Hope Event is held as an annual fundriser for Children's Home Society of Washington - Walla Walla to provide funding for our Family Support Programs, Early Learning, Educational support and Child & Family Counseling to children and parents in the Walla Walla Valley.  

Enjoy beautiful scenery in the vineyards of the Walla Walla Valley. Participants will spend an enjoyable morning in the Blue Mountain Area. Grape Harvest will be underway and the early morning air has the feel of fall.

Your run/walk choices are:

  • 5k run/walk which takes you on an out and back course through Pepper Bridge and North Star vineyards.
  • 10K run/walk adds two more vineyards, Va Piano and Gifford-Hilinger. The course consists of both dirt and paved roads. The terrain is varied with some hills.     

Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers for 5k and 10k in each of the following age categories:

  • Under 21
  • 21-29
  • 30-39
  • 40-49
  • 50-59
  • 60-69
  • 70+

Join us after the event for a family fun festival and the awards ceremony.

To honor the wishes of the land owners No Dogs are allowed at the event.  

Packets will be available for pre-registered runners/walkers for pick-up on Friday October 23rd, 2015 from 1-4pm at the Children's Home Society office loacted at 1612 Penny Lane Walla Walla, WA 99362.
