This earth-friendly road race was rescheduled from earlier this year and features a spectacularly scenic course in rural Eastern Connecticut that begins and ends at the Comstock covered bridge and follows the Salmon River through State Forest and along an old railroad bed. The race features varied terrain of pavement, dirt road and improved trail and has a fast downhill finish. Due to the current global pandemic, the Colchester Land Trust will be organizing a safe, responsible, and socially distant event. We are offering a rolling start, giving you the opportunity to sign up for one of five time slots that are each capped at 50 runners.
COVID-19 protocols will be in effect for this event. This includes:
- An online only registration. Sorry, you will not be able sign up on race day. You must sign up by October 1st. - Drive-up packet pickup - Rolling race start - you may choose from five time slots: 9:00am, 9:15am, 9:30am, 9:45am, 10:00am but we ask that you show up to the race no earlier than 30 minutes prior to your chosen wave in order to limit congregation of runners. - Our 100% recycled art glass awards will be mailed to all division winners. There will be no awards ceremony or BBQ. Sorry, as much as we love to party with you after the race, it is simply not a possibility this year and it breaks our hearts.
