Salmon River 5.5 Mile Run (5.5 Mile Mixed Terrain)
2.5 Mile Riverbank Ramble
About This Activity
This earth-friendly road race features a spectacularly scenic course in rural Eastern Connecticut that begins and ends at the Comstock covered bridge and follows the Salmon River through State Forest and along an old railroad bed. The race features varied terrain of pavement, dirt road and improved trail, a fast downhill finish, two water stops, an awards ceremony, and an amazing post-race barbecue.
New this year, and for those not quite up for the run, the guided 2.5 mile ramble is a lovely walk along the banks of the Salmon River on trails through the State Forest and includes entry to the post-race barbecue.
