About This Activity

First Christian Church of Clinton's 5th Annual 5 kilometer run/walk is a fundraiser to offset costs of 2016 youth mission trips. The high school students will travel to New Hampshire  and the Junior High will go to Milwaukee, WI. The goal is raising $5,000 through registration and sponsors to offset costs associated with each of the summer mission trips. Medals to overall Male and Female finisher and to top 3 in 7 age categories. 12 and Under entry fee is only $15 this year! All others $20 until May 1st.

The FCC 5k course is all new and follows the city's Looking for Lincoln Story Trail past many Lincoln landmarks and ends in historic downtown Clinton, IL. The course has small hills and trail/off road section. Sites include the Civil War memorial, the covered bridge, the County Museum, building murals and Mr. Lincoln's Square. Walkers and casual runners read the historic markers and do medallion rubbing for a race souvenier. The 5k is an official event of Clinton's May Days celebration, May 19-22, 2016 and supported by the local Lincoln Heritage Committee. Come for the Run, stay for the Fun! http://clintonilchamber.com/events.htm
