About This Activity

A 5K race through Clarkston, GA.  This race is part of the 2014 Clarkston Community Festival & 5K Run/Walk.  The road race takes runners and walkers through key points of interest in Clarkston, GA.  After the event, please stay and join in on the festivities.  This race benefits the Parent Involvement Program at the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf, and is in conjunction with the greater Clarkston Active Living Initiative. Clarkston, GA is the most ethnically diverse 1.1 square mile in all of Georgia.  The Clarkston Community Festival aims to highlight the best of what Clarkston has to offer, and to share it with others.


Bib and race packet pick up will be the day of the Clarkston Community Festival & 5K Run/Walk.  Pickup will begin near the parking lot of the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf.  Race day registration is allowed, but pre-registration is preferred. Water will be provided at the designated water stations, and post race snacks will be available at the finish line.  Photography will be provided by Brevity Studios with half of the proceeds being donated back to the Atlanta Area School for the Deaf.  Race packs will be given during packet pick up.  2014 Commemorative canvas-style race bags given during packet pick up.  


Event schedule and times

Same day on-site registration starts at 7:30AM.  The first wave is reserved for runners, with the second being for walkers.  Overall winners and top 3 male and female winners will be announced/awarded at 9:45AM.

Wave 1 Start: 8:00AM (Runners)

Wave 2 Start: 8:15AM (Walkers)

Awards: 9:45AM
