The City Run is an annual 5K race in Chillicothe, sponsored by Open Door Church.
There’s something about accomplishing a 5K run that just feels good. I know you’re not sure if you’re up for it yet–but what if you knew your run was going to be about more than just you? The City Run proceeds go to wherever the city of Chillicothe needs it most.
Because of you we gave $5,000 to the city fireworks in 2014 and $10,000 to the Yoctangee Bridge in 2015. Last year we donated $6,000 to the city of Chillicothe for bike racks & beautifully potted plans in our downtown area. A total of $21,000!
For the 2017 race we will be donating all profits to the Mighty Children's Museum, which is opening in late fall of this year. All funds will go towards one of the final exhibits being installed–the playful tree. This tube-filled tree stimulates children's senses as they insert colorful scarfs into the roots of the tree. The scarfs are then suctioned up into clear tubes that wind in and around the tree. The journey is finished as the scarfs come shooting out the tops of the tree, to undoubtedly make your child giggle and say, "again, again!" Join us race day June 10th, 2017 at 8am!
***Race finish is at Totem Supply co. Race start is near the cannon on Tritscheller Road in the city park.
I hope you join us on June 10th, 2017 at 8am.
I would love to add your smile this year to The City Run. I hope you’ll register now at TheCityRun.org and I can’t wait to see you race day!
