About BDR Fund & Light Your Path

The late Brian D. Robertson had a dream, and from that dream came the BDR Memorial Solar Schools Fund (BDR Fund). BDR Fund advances awareness of solar energy by developing and implementing education programs in schools across the nation. Brian believed that today’s student is tomorrow’s sustainable leader and BDR Fund is turning that dream into reality, kid by kid.

BDR fund is expanding its mission to advance awareness of solar energy by shining a light on low income communities around the nation. This is an innovative after school student-lead program that will allow middle school students hands on experience with solar energy. Light Your Path will not only demonstrate and teach a profession, but will enhance that education with the business tools students need to be solar leaders in their own neighborhoods and cities. BDR Fund believes that a solid environmental education coupled with the promise of a seat at the table of the growing solar industry will increase graduation rates by providing a road to success after school.
