St. Monica's 5K Run / Walk is a fundraiser created to raise awareness and funding for the benefit of our parish and school. The goals of our event are to have fun, promote good health, a sense of community and raise money for St. Monica.
Our event kicks off at 9:00 a.m. on June 14, 2014 at the corner of Nottingham and Carmen. We will wind 3.1 miles through the Big Oaks neighborhood and begin with prayer from our Pastor, playing of the National Anthem and reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.
Music provided by our own Parishioner, Rich Urbinati, Dynamite DJ Productions, prizes, raffles and lots of fun.
Thank you to 41st Ward office, the 16th District Police Commander and the Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce.
The St. Monica Academy 5K will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made race day at the race site. The event will not be canceled in advance. All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site, race day. No refunds will be made in the event of cancellation.
Absolutely no refunds of any kind - This is a fundraising event!
