About This Activity

This adventure race is designed for anyone ages 12 to 99 years young who wants to experience the fun and excitement of off-road racing--including trekking, mountain biking, and paddling. REV3 Adventure's compact format is perfect for racers just getting into the sport or those with limited time to race and offers beginner and elite categories. Beginners will start with a trek on foot in search of checkpoints by following a map (with plotted points). Checkpoints will be located on the trails or at easily recognizable topographical features, such as stream crossings or high points. Solo racers and teams of 2 or 3 will then mount their mountain bike to find other checkpoints throughout the park. They'll also face mental or physical challenges to complete the race. Physical challenges just may something as fun as paddle boarding on Granite Spring Reservoir! Estimated time to complete the race is 3 hours for more experienced racers or up to 5 hours for those newer to adventure racing.
For those who are really looking for a challenge, we'll also feature an elite division where racers will need to find more checkpoints and cover more challenging off-road terrain while experiencing the wonders of Curt Gowdy State Park and its International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA)-designed mountain bike course. Estimated time to complete the elite course is 4–7 hours.

The Cowboy Tough Sprint AR is part of the  USARA national series.  An additional $8 race day fee is required by USARA and can be paid on race day.
