Run for God - Pinky 5K - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
Join us for the Third Annual - Run for God – Pinky 5K at Camp Jordan Park in Chattanooga, TN. This evening race has quickly become one of the most popular Run for God Hosted Races! Why? Because it’s for females ONLY! That’s right ladies, bring the family, but tell the boys and men to just sit back and watch how it’s done!
The Pinky Tee: We get so many requests each year for a “Pinky” Tee. Yes “Pinky” is “Sticky’s” female counterpart and her debut has been a long time coming. These very specially designed tee’s will be in short supply and once they are gone, they are gone, until next year when we debut the next one at the Pinky Challenge. (These are sold seperatly, you will get a high quality race shirt with your registration.)
The Pinky Medal: All the ladies who finish the Pinky 5K are in for a real treat. You will be presented a high quality die cast finishers medal as you cross the finish line. Yes, this medal is the same or maybe even a better quality medal than you would receive at some of the nations largest marathons. These are very rarely given out at 5K’s but Pinky says that you are worth it!
How are the proceeds used?
100% of the proceeds from our races are used in one of two ways. The first is to keep the day-to-day operations of Run for God moving. Our revenue comes from books, t-shirts, sponsors, and races. We made the decision early on not to seek private donations of any kind to support this ministry. Another direct result of our race proceeds is to fund a race that we started hosting in November called the “My Hope America 5K” This race is offered to 2000 middle and high school kids as well as their families in Dalton, GA (the home of Run for God). This race is completely free to all in the community and the primary focus is to share the gospel of Christ through the My Hope America video by Dr. Billy Graham. Every runner gets the complete experience, from the race, to the timing, and the t-shirts. Once the race is finished, everyone sits down to hear Billy Graham do what he does best, share the gospel with a lost and dying world.
