About This Activity
Join us for the 5th Annual Run for God - JFest 5K. Each year Run for God teams up with J103 to host this unique event which gets bigger and bigger every year. As an added bonus each runner receives one free JFest wristband to enjoy a full day of fun in the sun (That's a $15 Value right there!). This year we have changed things up just a bit to ensure your experience remains an awesome one!
First we have moved the finish line inside Camp Jordan Arena. Not only will this be a cool place to sit down and take a load off after your run, but it’ll also ensure that we give ample time for awards while not holding up the JFest crew from getting the bands ready for your entertainment. Another awesome feature of finishing inside is that you’ve got plenty of cool dry restrooms to change clothes if you’re planning on sticking around for the full day of festivities, and believe me, you’ll want to stick around.
Our second change this year is the addition of a 10K. As this distance continues to grow in popularity we only find it fitting to give you some more options. This course will take advantage of the beautiful levy trail that is often unnoticed at Camp Jordan, but beware! If this is your distance, then you’ll want to get signed up ASAP as space WILL be limited.
Stay tuned for more announcements on who will be headlining and playing at this years JFest! This announcement typically comes down from J103 in January, and we’ll let you know just as soon as we know!
Be sure to sign up early to be guaranteed a t-shirt at packet pickup. Everyone who registers and races WILL receive a t-shirt, however those who register after Wednesday - June 17, 2015 will have to pick theirs up at a later date at the offices of J103!!

How are the proceeds used?
100% of the proceeds from our races are used in one of two ways. The first is to keep the day-to-day operations of Run for God moving. Our revenue comes from books, t-shirts, sponsors, and races. We made the decision early on not to seek private donations of any kind to support this ministry. Another direct result of our race proceeds is to fund a race that we started hosting in November called the “My Hope America 5K” This race is offered to 2000 middle and high school kids as well as their families in Dalton, GA (the home of Run for God). This race is completely free to all in the community and the primary focus is to share the gospel of Christ through the My Hope America video by Dr. Billy Graham. Every runner gets the complete experience, from the race, to the timing, and the t-shirts. Once the race is finished, everyone sits down to hear Billy Graham do what he does best, share the gospel with a lost and dying world.
