About This Activity
Join us on Saturday, August 8, 2015 for the Missionary Ridge Road Race! This is a scenic, 4.7 mile out & back course atop Missionary Ridge - and NEW THIS YEAR - a 1 mile fun run/walk. Bring the family! Both events start and finish at Bragg Reservation and will benefit the local chapter of American Red Cross and Team Bruner Scholarships!

ONLINE REGISTRATION ends at MIDNIGHT on Thursday, August 6th, 2015. Registration must be received by FRIDAY, JULY 24th to guarantee a race t-shirt. Size & availability cannot be guaranteed on race day.
PACKET PICK UP will occur during business hours on Friday, August 7th. Exact time and location TBD. Note: Shoe timing chips will be available at Bragg Reservation on Saturday morning.
RACE DAY 6:00 am – Shuttle service from McCallie School to Bragg Reservation begins 6:30 am – Race day registration, shoe chip & packet pick up begins at Bragg Reservation 7:45 am – Race day registration for bothevents closes PROMPTLY at 7:45 am. 8:00 am – 4.7 Mile Race 8:02 am – 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will have a separate start time IMMEDIATELY following 4.7 Mile race start.
PARKING AND SHUTTLE There is NO PARKING at Bragg Reservation. Parking and a free shuttle service will be available at McCallie School, 500 Dodds Avenue. The shuttle service will operate from 6:00 AM until complete from the school parking lot to the reservation.
Both the 4.7 mile race & 1 mile fun run/walk are out and back courses atop Missionary Ridge. They will start at the Bragg Reservation and go out South Crest Road. The 4.7 mile course extends around East Crest Road and then returns on South Crest Road to the finish line at Bragg Reservation. The 1 mile fun run/walk will be on the same course, with turn-around at ½ mile point. Enjoy the tree-lined streets and historic homes along this scenic, rolling course! Top (1) male & female: Overall, Masters, Grand Masters and Senior Grand Masters.
Top three male and female by age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & better.
A special award will be presented to the oldest participant in the race in honor of Arnold Godwin, a long time runner in the Chattanooga area. This was his favorite race each year.
Door prizes will be given out after the race while waiting on the results from the run.
RACE PROCEEDS BENEFIT: American Red Cross - prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Over 91 cents of every dollar donated goes to fulfill the Red Cross mission. John Bruner Memorial Scholarship Fund An endowed scholarship to honor the memory of John Bruner by providing college funds to a cross-country athlete who best exemplifies the personal and athletic traits of this outstanding 2006 Dalton High School Graduate.
