About This Activity

Tour de Turns is an original and unique charity bicycle ride (and now walk too) benefiting Loaves & Fishes, Inc., a 501(c)3 food pantry, that served over 75,000 people in 2017.  48% were children!!!  Over the past six years, Tour de Turns has netted over $135,000 to help turn the corner on local hunger!

Tour de Turns provides cycling and walking routes that wind through beautiful tree-lined South Charlotte neighborhoods.  Cyclist can choose from 15, 25, 37 or 62-mile routes and walkers can choose either 2.5 or 4.5-mile routes.  Cyclist and walkers will enjoy plenty of shade from the large trees along the routes.  We also offer a Kids’ Bike Rodeo and Closed Loop Course within the safe confines of Carmel Road Neighborhood Park.

Come and experience the thrill and beauty of Tour de Turns!  One of our repeat riders is a serious road cyclist that has completed numerous 100-mile mountain rides such as Assault on Mt. Mitchell, BSG and Hincapie Gran Fondo says “Tour de Turns is the most fun I've had a bicycle since I was a kid”.

Lunch is included for all registrants.  This year we selected Harris Teeter Catering at Morrocroft as our lunch vendor.  Stay around after your ride or walk and enjoy our “Under the Shade Trees Festival” that includes Live Music, a Craft Beer Garden by Sugar Creek Brewing, Lunch, Raffles and a Playground.

Our Raffle will have dozens of new exciting prizes including bicycles and a Jimmy Johnson autographed 2017 TdT jersey. This year Raffle Tickets can be purchased when you register!!!
