About This Activity

Wake County’s first Cow Patty Family Fun Day debuted on May 10, 2014 as a fundraiser for Rolesville Athletic Club, the school’s sports boosters. Its success has led to the event becoming the annual fundraiser for Rolesville Athletic Club, Inc.

The 5K Run will begin at 9:00am at a USATF certified course on the Rolesville High School grounds and adjacent roadways. Online registration must be completed by midnight May 3.

Post race family events will be start at 11:00AM. It will feature food, games, bands, booths, prize drawings, and other family-oriented activities including the sale of Cow Patty tickets, each representing of a 3’x3’ square on the Rolesville High School football field and a chance to win $500.

At 2:00PM, a cow from a Rolesville-area farm is led onto the left of the football field which is marked off in squares corresponding to the numbered tickets sold.  The cow roams the field until it drops a cow patty on a square. If it lands on more than one square, the one with the largest deposit will be declared the winner.

The unique fundraiser helps raise money for the Rolesville High athletic department sports teams. More information about the post raca activities can be found on the website.
