Four on the Fourth is the first race of the 3 race series, Le Tour de Carrboro. The 4 mile race starts at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 4, at McDougle Middle School, 900 Old Fayetteville Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
You can pick up your race bib on Saturday, July 2, at Fleet Feet in Carrboro from 10am - 5pm, or on Sunday, July 3, at Fleet Feet from 3pm - 5pm. Bibs are also available for pickup on race day morning at McDougle, 6:30am - 7:45am.

Parking: Please carpool and arrive early for parking. There are 3 lots in front of McDougle and a fourth lot behind the school (off of Hillsborough, and the lot to use if you are later than 7:50 am, since Old Fayetteville will be closed). There is additional parking available at Hank Anderson Community Park, located off of Highway 54.
Kids races: "Little Firecracker" races are FREE for children aged 2-9 and will be held after the race at approximately 9:30 (after the awards ceremony). Participants will be divided into age groups 2-3 (50 yards), 4-5 (100 yards), and 6-7, 8-9 (200 yards) and will race on the McDougle Track. All kids will receive finisher ribbons. There is no pre-registration, but parents must sign a release form before the events. Also, join us before or during the race at the family activity area and enjoy chalk drawing, jump ropes, hula hoops and an inflatable obstacle course!
Walkers are welcome! We encourage everyone to join us at our events. If you want to walk the course, that's great. However, if the trailing police car passes you, you must follow normal pedestrian rules -- move to the sidewalk or side of the road. Our timing service tries to capture the time for everyone who crosses the finish line, so even if the police close the course, you should receive a finish time.
Stroller policy: Baby strollers/joggers are permitted, but for the safety of all participants please start at the back behind the runners and walkers. The start can be crowded -- last year we had over 750 runners!
