About This Activity

On April 26, 2014, you can take action to help students, families, educators and South Riding address positive relationships in our community by supporting Freedom High School and its 3R (Respect, Recognition, & Responsibility) initiative. The Freedom 5K was created in order to combat bullying. We include the 3 R’s, Respect, Recognition, and Responsibility, the three pillars of the Freedom High School PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) initiative, to accentuate all of the positive behaviors that are demonstrated by students to counteract bullying and other negative actions. We hope that this 5K will bring together a community effort to treat ALL others with respect, empower our community to recognize positive behaviors, and reinforce that we all have a responsibility to create a warm climate in our schools and in our community.
