Be prepared to be scared - in the DARK! Mud on the Mountain offers athletes a chance to get down and dirty atop the beautiful Laurel Highlands. The course winds its way up, down and through some of the most challenging terrain in Pennsylvania - and for the first time, Mud on the Mountain will be ran in the DARK! If you are ready to tackle the Laurel Highlands, Mud on the Mountain is the event for you. Join scores of others as you test what you are made of on the slopes at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, the largest ski and four season resort in Pennsylvania. Across more than seven miles of body-breaking terrain you will traverse ponds, scale boulder fields, climb your way over obstacles and claw your way up impossible inclines, all on your way to a triumphant finish atop the largest snow pile you will see anywhere in the middle of spring. After working to destroy your body, stick around for the Recovery Party in the Foggy Goggle. When and Where? The first heat will start at 9 p.m., Aug 16, 2014, at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Who Anyone that is age 18 OR OVER on Aug. 16th. Course Statistics Distance: Seven miles Obstacles: 23 Elevation at Start: 2,535 feet Elevation Gain: 1,063 feet Lodging Before you tackle the seven miles of mud and certainly afterwards, you are going to be exhausted and in needed of some relaxation. Our Mud on the Mountain hotel package will allow you to get your rest before you take on the course and the opportunity to get a good night’s sleep and help your body recover after you rip it up on the mountain!
