About This Activity

The First Annual Happy Camper 5K will be held on August 29th at 7 AM at the Centre County Grange Fairgrounds. This is an innaugural event hosted by the Penn State Hershey Medical Group in conjunction with the 141st Annual Grange Fair. Proceeds from the race will go to support youth running programs in Centre, Mifflin, & Juniata counties. This is a relatively flat, out and back course with chip timing. Early registration is open until August 1st, 2015 with late registration continuing through race day. The youth registration fee is a flat $25.00 and not subject to late registration fees. A 1st Annual Happy Camper 5K T-shirt is included in the registration fee. Medals will be given in all age categories with prizes for the Male/Female Overall Open, Master's & Youth winners.

Event details and schedule

The scheduled start time for the race is 7 AM in an effort to beat the August heat and the Grange Fair pedestrian traffic.

Packet Pick-Up for the Happy Camper 5K

Please use Grange Fair, Gate 4  (Homan Lane off of Rt. 45) entrance on race day. If you have not picked up your packet prior to race day please bring your active.com confirmation email. Parking is free until 10 AM with race registration. Parking passes to stay past the 10 AM cut-off time will be available on race day at Gate 4. The start, finish, and awards will be located at the Grange Fair Grandstand.

The course is a relatively flat out and back extending outside of the Grange Fairgrounds. Course maps will be available on the Penn State Hershey and Grange Fair website closer to race day. Emails will be sent to all registered participants when the course map is available.

Age groups and Awards:

Awards: Prizes to the 1st Male and 1st Female in Open Division (Age 39 and under), 1st Male and 1st Female in Masters Division (40 and over) and 1st Male and Female in the Youth Division (Age 14 and under). Medals to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place of each age group (No duplications)

Age Groups:
Women 10 and under,11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39,40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over.
Men 10 and under, 11-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34,35-39,40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 - 64,65-69, 70 and over.
