About This Activity

We’re back for the 5th annual Tri To Finish Half Distance Triathlon in Caseville for the premier multisport event in Michigan's thumb area!

This event provides athletes with a great opportunity to see more of the untapped thumb region. The swim will take place in the beautiful waters of Lake Huron, while the bike course will trace the waterline out and back.  A smooth and flat course should usually bakes for an incredibly fast bike split. The run course takes athletes toward the central part of the thumb and is relatively flat and on back roads that are paved or packed gravel.

Once again athletes will complete an out and back course finishing along the pristine beaches of Caseville County Park. Caseville boasts numerous summer festivals and we are fortunate to capstone this year’s Tribute Summer Concert (which provides the inspiration for each year’s triathlon event!) with a Sunday morning triathlon. Come enjoy the Classic Rock band at the Caseville County Park amphitheater on Saturday night. Put this event on your destination race list as it is one you will not want to miss.

Course Description

Caseville, located directly off Lake Huron, is the perfect host town for a multisport event. Nestled amongst Caseville’s summer festivities, the Caseville Classic  Triathlon/Duathlon is a fast and beautiful race. The swim will take place in the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron with athletes completing a rectangular swim (athletes will follow pre-determine buoys based on distance). The bike course is an out and back on newly paved roads along Lake Huron. You'll enjoy picturesque views the entire way. Half Iron Distance and Olympic athletes will bike 20km to the turnaround with Half Iron Athletes going back out on the course for a second lap. Sprint and Duathlon athletes will bike 10km to their turnaround. The run traverses a road parallel to the bike course. Half Iron Distance athletes will run 10.5km to your turnaround.  Olympic athletes will run 5km to their turnaround. Sprint and Duathlon athletes will run 2.5km to their turnaround.

* We apologize for any inconvenience this presents, but we truly believe that each Multisport Event is exactly that:  an EVENT.  Age Groupers finish at different times throughout races.  It is unfair and unsportsmanlike to begin ceremonies for which a participant may be eligible for an award if that participant has not yet reached the finish line.  Please be courteous of and encouraging to fellow athletes.

NOTE:  All participants will receive their finisher medals upon completion of their event at the finish line

FREE Finisher Photos

As we’ve done from the outset, Tri To Finish provides FREE Finisher Photos from Meaningful Moments Photography available for download to participants.  No strings attached!

Results

TRI TO FINISH is proud to work with Newton Timing and Race Services as our Timing Partner.  Results will be displayed at the event and will be posted at TRITOFINISH.COM within 48 hours of race completion.

Interested in volunteering?  Events like this can’t be successful without great volunteers!  Sign up HERE and we’ll be in touch.  All volunteers receive a cool, Tri To Finish logo’d tech t-shirt courtesy of ATS Printing in Merrill, MI!

Refund Policy

We completely understand that plans change and athletes will sometimes be unable to compete in an event they've signed up for.  Unfortunately, refunds will not be provided for any event unless the event is cancelled for some reason.

Should an athlete have an injury or other medical issue keeping them from competing in an event they've registered for, then we would be happy to transfer their registration to a similar event up to and including the same event the following season.

Transferring registrations to other athletes is NOT allowed.

New this year is the "Train To Finish" program with the YMCA of Saginaw!  For details that include special membership pricing at the YMCA, visit the Train To Finish website HERE!
