This year we are partnering with the Assemblies of God Southern Missouri Women's Department to raise funds for Project Rescue. Project Rescue is a ministry headquartered in Springfield, MO, which "exists to rescue and restore victims of sexual slavery through the love and power of Jesus Christ." They accomplish this mission "through holistic programs of physical, emotional and spiritual intervention, prevention, and restoration for women and children in sexual slavery." The country we specifically feel led to focus on is Nepal, where an Aftercare/Safe Home is located in the city of Kathmandu. Aftercare/Safe Homes are places of safety where rescued women and children from the red light districts live. Please make plans now to run or walk at our event to help raise funds for this extremely worthy cause!
