About This Activity

Come start your weekend at Piney Grove Middle School to Run for Babies!  The March of Dimes is doing their annual march, and this year they're adding a 5K to go along with it.  The 5K starts at 7:00 pm, and you'll get a chance to enjoy everything the walkers do.  Hot Dogs & awesome finish line refreshments from Publix, Great 5K Race specific tech shirts, chip timing, and awards to the overalls, mater's overalls, and age groups.

Event details and schedule

Event Schedule: Race day check in starts at 5:30 pm, race starts at 7:00 pm.
Timing & Awards: The event will be chip timed and we'll have awards for the top 3 overall male & female, top 3 overall masters male & female, as well as top finishers in all the normal 5yr age groups starting at 10 & under through 75+.
Entry Fee & Registration: Individual entry is $30 and includes a technical race shirt to all participants registered by 4/24. Registrations afterwards will receive a shirt while supplies last. Race day registrations are also welcome for $5 additional.
Teams: Grab you classmates, coworkers, or friends & family and put together a team. We'll have a special trophy for the fastest team.
T-Shirts: All participants registered by 4/24 are guaranteed a race shirt in their size (women's sizes too). Registrations after that will receive a shirt while supplies last.
Finish Line & Post Race Refreshments: Publix is coming out with loads of Goodies, including hot dogs.   Doodles the Georgia Tech clown will be there, there'll be face painting, a great DJ, Jump houses, and loads of other activities; so be sure to plan on hanging around a little while and having some fun.
Five Star 5K Championships & Turkey Trot: All participants will be eligible for free entry into the Five Star Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. Top finishers will earn a spot in the Five Star 5K championships to be held on 12/17.
