About This Activity
Bringing friends together to beat childhood cancers, while giving support to the children and their families in the fight
‘Annalise’s Friends’ is a collaborated effort devoted to raising awareness of Neuroblastoma, a form of childhood cancer that affects approximately five hundred children per year. On September 26, 2015, ‘Annalise’s Friends 5K Run’ will be held in loving memory of Annalise Pelton, a young girl who bravely battled Neuroblastoma for most of her life. Through participation as well as donations, we aim to raise funds, whose proceeds will go directly to the research and treatment of current and future children that are affected by cancer. Our goal is to persevere, through charity, Annalise’s spirit and compassion.
Although Annalise’s time on earth was too short, she had a powerful impact on everyone she met. She touched all those who witnessed her courage and spirit. Despite her ongoing battle, her strength of spirit and love for others was unstoppable. At the age of 3, less than one year after her diagnosis, she proudly led the pack at her local “Relay For Life” survivors lap – not just walking, but RUNNING! We want to honor that courage and unrelenting spirit by continuing the fight. We want to keep her dynamic memory alive, and continue the fight against Neuroblastoma and all childhood cancers. We hope you will join us in this fight, and help us to raise the funds needed to find a cure!
