About This Activity
Join us for the 7th Annual BUFFALO STAMPEDEHalf Marathon & 5K Races designed for ALL runners! These Chrono timed races use disposable bib tags on USATF Certified courses benefitting the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. All Sports Timing is conducting the race and race results will be available at www.allsportstiming.com.
The Half-Marathon course is gently rolling, scenic, relatively flat, fast, and takes you through open country and past neighborhoods and parks. It has a downhill 2-mile finish, and offers you a great chance for a PR and a tune-up for marathons. The 5K follows the first 1.55 miles of the Half-Marathon course. Courses are out and back and offer a safe route well marked by N-Line Traffic Management. Cheer Stations will be along the route to encourage you...with cash prizes going to the best stations! The Course closes at 11am.
These are beautiful courses, well organized safe runs with water stops, porta johns, great running music provided by Stevo DJ, cool T-shirts for all, fabulous half-marathon finisher medals and custom buffalo age group awards, and post-race refreshments. Meet our celebrity starter and look for our Bison mascot and Live Bison! AFTER the race, enjoy Boonville Days, a heritage fair with chuck wagons, frontier skills, arts, and music. Festive Boonville Days activities from 9-4 are inside and outside the Museum and free to runners.
