It protects and enhances unique wildlife habitat that is part of Merrymeeting Bay including a spectacular 15' waterfall. Head of Tide park also creates a critical trail connection to the more than 7 miles of trails upstream from the park site, establishes a waterfront part for the public to enjoy, and provides hand carry boat access to the Cathance River. The park is being conserved and the amenities are being built through a collaborative partnership between the Town of Topsham and the Brusnwick-Topsham Land Trust. While much has been done to date, there is still much to do to fully implement the design plans for the park. You can contact BTLT at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to get involved, or make a donation to the Head of Tide Park Campaign.
