About This Activity

Welcome to the Inaugural Potomac River Distance Classic. Join us for a morning of paddling, fun, philanthropy and good food. Choose between 12, 5.5 or 3 miles - event open to recreational, competitive, beginner and experienced paddlers of all ages and abilities. Kayaks, canoes, SUPs, dragon-boats and rafts are all welcome - there is a category for every boat and all abilities.

The goal of the annual event is to raise money for an EZ Launch Dock System. The recipient of the first dock will be the Montgomery County Parks Foundation and it will be used at the Little Seneca Lake (Black Hill Regional Park). The addition of the EZ Launch will allow people with various disabilities and/or limited mobility easy access to the lake to enjoy a wide variety of watersports and the outdoors in general.

We do not require a donation and you're not asked to raise money but a suggested $200/boat fundraising goal would be greatly appreciated. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
