The 5th Annual “Don’t Fall…Let’s Run!” 5K Run/Walk & Kid Sprint will be held on Saturday, September, 24th at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater. This is also a family fun day with crafts, taekwondo exhibition, snacks, vendor tables and more.
This race is a New Jersey Grand Prix Event and is on a USATF-NJ Certified & Sanctioned Course. The course is extremely flat on a paved wooded trail that parallels the Raritan river. To see the course map, copy and paste this link:
Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers overall for each gender as well as the top 3 per age group. Age groups will be 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 and over.
Registration and Packet Pick up will start at 8 AM, with the 5k run/walk starting at 9am, the kids sprint at 10:00am, and awards at 10:30am. Free WICKING T-shirt to our first 100 5K run/walk pre-registrants. Registration fees prior to 9/21 are $25+signup fee for the 5k run/walk ($22 for USATF-NJ members) and $10+signup fee for the Kids Sprint. Fees go up by $5 after 9/21.
There will also be our annual GRAND Raffle! Our Grand Raffle is a 50/50 and will be pulled during the awards ceremony of our 5K "Don’t Fall, Let’s Run!" event on September 24, 2016 at approximately 11 AM, but you do not need to be present to claim your prize. Tickets for the Grand Raffle are $20 each and have been sold at all of our events over the past few months. First prize will be 30% of gross tickets receipts, 2nd prize is 15% of gross ticket receipts and 3rd Prize is 5% of gross ticket receipts. Good luck to all of our future winners!!!
