Our inaugural event has been canceled. We have followed the safe practice guidelines and mandates of the city, state, and beyond. As you can imagine we are very disappointed along with you that we can’t bring this celebration run/walk to you. Your supportive and heartfull emails have been truly appreciated.
Everyone that is pre registered will be automatically entered into our March 14, 2021 at no extra cost. We hope you will join us.
We are also working on the best methods to get your t-shirt and bib to you. These are great items that we want you to have as a thank you, and for your training for 3/14/21!

Thursday- we have been canceled along with the parade on Tuesday. Our committee will meet today and do everything we can to help all of you who pre-registered and supported our inaugural event. Thank you for understanding. Believe me this has really hurt us too. We actually started this process last September and wanted you all to have the best experience possible.
WE HAVE SUSPENDED REGISTRATION- an emergency meeting will take place Thursday morning with City officials and the St Patrick’s /Grand Marshall Directors to determine whether this event and parade will be held. We will post their decision as soon as we know. We will also send notifications to all of our pre registered.
We are also developing contingency plans and considering all possible scenarios. Thank you for your patience, support and understanding. We are all together in this and want everyone safe and healthy.

Start your St Patrick's celebration two days early as we bring back the historic "running of the green" event to Bridgeport where it started more than 30 years ago! We encourage all abilities to run or walk our 5k course and support our charities. We will have a free (1/10mi) Kids Run if weather permits
5k (3.1 miles) of "flatness" starting in the City Near Murphy's Law and running straight down Broad St through to Seaside Park- one of the most scenic venues on the Connecticut shoreline. This park was designed by the same man who gave us New York's Central Park- Frederick Law Olmsted. Seaside Park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. After a short loop in the Park, you'll travel back on Broad St to the finish near Fairfield Ave.
The AWARDS- Prizes for the computer timed 5k will be given to the first place overall male & female champions. Age group awards will be given to the top three male & female in groups 8 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and above if pre-registered. Awards can only be given to those completing the entire course and wearing their own bib.
The AMENITIES- T-shirts given to all registered by MARCH 1. After that date t-shirts and any other giveaways will be distributed "if available" only. DO NOT get shut out! Shirts take a minimum of two weeks to order, ship, and print and we cannot guarantee what will be ordered after March 1st.
The FOOD- Corn Beef sliders, bagels, bananas, and other items for all REGISTERED participants with their own bib.
The BEER- One free post-run/walk GUINNESS beer to all participants 21 & OVER - soft drinks also available. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID- IT WILL BE CHECKED FOR YOU TO RECEIVE ANY ALCOHOL. NO EXCEPTIONS.
A huge thanks for the support of MURPHY'S LAWof DOWNTOWN BRIDGEPORT- our host venue for the corn beef sliders and beer.

Free tour of the gallery of our local Irish art exhibit. City Lights Gallery is located above the Downtown Cabaret Theatre. It is across the street from the Old City Hall on Lyons St. Free street parking on weekends.

The PARKING- no parking will be allowed anywhere on Broad St where we start and finish. Please consult or course map link above. FREE street parking is available on Fairfield Ave, Cannon St. and other streets in the area. There is also a secure parking garage on Middle St, behind the Holiday Inn- there is a fee to park there. It is about 2/10 mile from Murphy's Law.
