About This Activity

The 7th annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) 5K & Dog Walk is an event that helps riase money for the SAAFE Center in Wood County.  SAAFE stands for Sexual Assault Awareness for Empowerment.  The left provides crisis intervention, emotional support, medical and legal advocacy, support groups, information, and referrals for victims of sexual assault, stalking, sexual harassment and sex trafficking.  The event is a fundraiser but also an opportunity for students and community members from the surrounding area to become more physically active.

Time: Packet Pick-up: 9:00 AM | 5K Race Begins: 10:00 AM | Dog Walk Begins: 10:15 AM
Location: Begins and ends at the Student Recreation Center and runs through the BGSU campus.


  • Student 5K Run/Walk or Dog Walk: $10.00
  • Non-Student 5K Run/Walk or Dog Walk: $15.00
  • Same-Day Registrations, add $5.00

*Walkers and runners receive a T-shirt and dogs get a bandana for race day!
