Use your FEET to help our FINNED and FLIPPERED friends! Join runners, walkers, and animal-lovers in a 5K run/walk to raise money for the National Marine Life Center! This is a fun, family oriented, pet-friendly event that also features activities and an "Animal Rescue Fun Run" for the kids!
The race begins at the Buzzards Bay Village Park, at the west end of Main Street next to the train station. The flat, scenic course travels down and back along the beautiful Cape Cod Canal. Ample parking is available. There will be a water station along the route accessible in both directions.
Medals will be awarded to male and female runners in each of six age groups: Neonate (12 and under), Pup (13-19), Yearling (20-29), Juvenile (30-39), Sub-Adult (40-49), Adult (50-59), and Senior (60+). Trophies will be awarded to the overall male and female winners.
All participants who pre-register before May 8 will receive a t-shirt.
Can't make it or live too far away to join us? Register to "Flip from Afar!" Wherever you are, run, walk, dance, swim, crawl, roll, jump, skip, and/or flip. We'll mail you your t-shirt after the race. And we welcome you to post photos of yourself being active to help marine animals on our facebook page at Facebook.com/NationalMarineLifeCenter!

All event proceeds - including race fees, donations, and sponsorships - directly benefit the National Marine Life Center's marine animal rehabilitation, science, and education programs. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help care for sick and injured seals and sea turtles.
The National Marine Life Center is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that rehabilitates and releases stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in order to advance science and education in marine wildlife health and conservation. Our tax ID number is 04-3290276. Thank you for your support!
