About This Activity

The Haven of Northeast Arkansas, Inc. is the only domestic violence shelter in Mississippi County. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Haven provides emergency shelter, supportive care and education to victims of domestic abuse and their children, so they can live abuse free lives. All of the services are at no cost to the individual. Our services include public speaking and projects with the community to promote awareness of this tragic issue.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. As a part of the monthly activities, The Haven of Northeast Arkansas,Inc. is sponsoring its 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk Against Domestic Violence. This event will be on Saturday, October 15, 2016, in conjunction with the Annual Chili Cook-off in Blytheville. The race will begin and end at the Historic Greyhound Bus Station in downtown Blytheville, AR. We invite runners and/or walkers to participate as we race against domestic violence.
