About This Activity
Come join the fun for the 18th Annual Santa Stroll 8K. The start/finish will be held at the Bishop Baptist Church, located at 1110 Old Bishop Road, Bishop, GA 30621. This is a record breaking, Peachtree Qualifying, USATF Certified course that is flat and fast. Over 10 Georgia state records have been set on this course. Come set your personal 8K record before the end of the year!
USATF Certified & Peachtree Qualifier: The 8K course is one of 3 USATF Certified courses in Georgia. There have been over 10 state records set on this course in the last 4 years. Break a state record, set a personal record or get a great time to qualify for the Peachtree. USATF Certification #GA12139WC.
Event details and schedule
Race day registration and packet pickup will begin at 7:30AM
8K starts at 8:30AM
Black Bag Awards can be picked up before or after the race but special recognition to overall winners will be done after the 8K awards.
Awards: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, Grand Masters Male/Female. The now famous Santa Bobble Heads will be presented to the top (3) in age groups beginning with 10 and under through 75 and over.
Series Affiliation: This will be the location of the 2016 Black Bag Race Series awards presentation! This will also be the 1st race of the 2017 Black Bag Race Series. The event is also part of the 2016 Clover Glove Series and the 2016 Run and See Georgia Grand Prix Series.
Shirts and Goodies: As in years past, the names of our running family who have crossed over the heavenly finish line in 2016 will be on the back of the shirt. You must register by 12/7/16 to be guaranteed a shirt. Those who register after that date and on race day are not guaranteed a shirt or size. There will be plenty of refreshments and fellowship too.
Proceeds: Proceeds from the race will go toward the ministries of Bishop Baptist Church.
Other Info: In case of rain, the races will go on. Delay of the start may happen in case of severe weather in the area at race time. If severe weather continues, then the race director or local authorities may make the call to cancel the race at that time. Sorry, no refunds.
