The Nutty Run 2014

Event Date

Sat, May 3, 2014

Berkeley, CA

About This Activity

The 5th annual 5K Nutty Run will be raising money to support Project Peanut Butter’s humanitarian work which aims to save over 2 million children by 2015. According to Project Peanut Butter, it costs only $25 to save a child’s life

By supplying a peanut-based Ready to Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF), this project has had an enormous impact on lowering infant mortality rates, especially for families that have limited access to nutritious food and education. Feeding children with RUTF in the home setting has been proven to be more effective than the standard therapy for treating malnourished children (which consists of mothers receiving milk-based formula at hospitals).

We hope to raise over $1000 through this event, which would help treat an entire village of malnourished children for one year.

To thank you for support, food and live performances will be provided!
