About This Activity

The Belle Fourche Rodeo Run is a 4th of July tradition in the Center of the Nation. Entering its 36th year, the race is one of the oldest road races in the area and takes place amidst the annual Black Hills Roundup festivities, the race is a great way to start off the holiday before watching one of the biggest 4th of July parades in western South Dakota.  Proceeds from the race are donated to the Belle Fourche Cardinals Youth Football and Cheer program to offset the cost of equipment and uniforms for boys and girls age 6-12.

Event schedule and times

Race day checkin/late registration will take place at Herrmann Park in Belle Fourche from 6:00-6:55 AM on July 4th.  Please note that race day registration will cost $20 instead of the $15 online pre-registration fee.  The race will start at 7:00 AM.  Post-race refreshments will be available at the park and we'll announce the overall winners and the top 3 finishers in each age group for both the 5K and 10K once results have been finalized.  Parking and bathroom facilities are available at the park.  Please check our Facebook page ( for updates on the event.
