*** Online registration has closed, but don't worry! You can register on-site at our packet pick-up location on Friday, or on race day starting at 8 a.m. Packet pick-up will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 13 at Ameris Bank in Beaufort (2348 Boundary St.,Beaufort, SC). Please note that late registrations are an additional $5 -- $30 for runners and $25 for walkers. ***
This fun, family friendly 5K is on a flat and quick course through scenic neighborhoods and Sanctuary Golf Course on Cat Island. Registration and the starting/ending points will be near the tennis courts. There will be lots of fun activities this year, including a valentine relay, a S’Mores bar, a Valentine’s Day-themed costume contest, and an interactive fire-fighting demonstration. In addition, Massage Envy will have two therapists on hand to offer free massages after the race. There will also be great prizes including a chance for race participants to win an iPad and prizes for the best costume and relay winners!
The Race4Love benefits Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse (CODA). Since 1986, CODA has been the only organization meeting the spectrum of needs of child and adult survivors of domestic abuse in Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties in South Carolina. Over 12,000 survivors have received assistance through our 24-hour hotline, emergency shelter, counseling, case management, transitional housing, and legal services. CODA also reaches thousands of people annually through our community education programs.
Event details and schedule
The 2015 Race4Love will start at 9 a.m. on February 14, 2015. The course is flat and quick, and offers a pleasant trip through the scenic neighborhoods and Sanctuary Golf Course on Cat Island — located at 8 Waveland Ave., Beaufort, SC 29907. Marshals will guide you to the registration and parking areas near the tennis courts. (It’s about 2.8 miles from the turn off of Lady’s Island Drive to the event site — keep going until you see our marshals and event signs!)
