Splash N' Dash is an event for kids to race and help Make A Difference!

ON LINE REGISTRATION CLOSES AT NOON AUGUST 29, 201411
Youth 7-10 will swim 100 yards parallel to the beach from 28th St. to 29th St.and then run a 1k on the beach from 29th to 35th St turn around/water station and finish at 30th St. Youth 11-15 will swim 200 yards from 27th St. to 29th St. parallel to the beach and then do a 2k run. They turn around at 40th St and finish at 30th St.
Tim Kerr Charities is a 501 (c) 3 organization and your entry fees and donations are tax deductible. This year's event will benefit the Avalon Beach Patrol Alumni Association and
The Brett V. Fitzpatrick Memorial Scholarship Fund
Brett’s heart was with the Avalon Beach Patrol. He loved working as a medic and being with his friends. The highlight of his summer was participating in the lifeguard competitions and being on the surf dash team.
In coordination with Brett’s family the ABP Alumni Association has set up a Memorial Scholarship Fund in Brett’s name. This scholarship will be to the benefit of a current ABP member who embodies the passion that Brett had for helping others, as well as someone who displays a high level of teamwork and embraces the bond of brotherhood of the ABP. The Scholarship Fun can be used for college tuition, as well as the tuition of any EMT/Paramedic training that the individual chooses to advance his or her career.. The individual will be chosen by the ABP Alumni Board and the Fitzpatrick family.

Event details and schedule
Packet Pick Up in Community Hall, 30th Street and Avalon Avenue form 3-6 PM.
Race starts at 30th and the Beach at 6:30 PM. ALL participants get Finisher Medals!
Awards to top 5 in the following age groups: 7-8.9-10,11-12, 13-15 for both boys and girls divisions.
Pizza and water ice provided on the beach at the awards ceremony.
Hat Trick Series Award Winners for the summer event season will also be presented at this time. (Children are eligible for the Hat Trick Award if they compete in all three of our youth events.)
