About This Activity
TRI for MIKE!
Join us for the first inaugural combination of Bike for Mike + Metea Life Run = Tri for Mike! Our family-friendly and fun "tri"-athlon course starts at Metea Valley and takes you on a 10 bike ride along the Prairie Path and back. When you get back to Metea Valley, get ready for a 5k run across school grounds and through the Concord Valley subdivision. Your finish will be the best swim stage a triathlon can offer: An inflatable slip-and-slide across the finish line in our school stadium.
Bring your family and friends to participate in this fun event to honor the life of former Metea Valley science teacher Mike Wegrzyn and to benefit his wife, Kate, and his twin daughters, Elle and Aubren. You are invited to participate as an individual in all three stages, or sign up as a team to participate as a relay. Yes, and you can sign up for 1, 2 or all the events. The cost for participation is $20, and $5 for children 12 years or young. All participants will receive a dry-fit running shirt and refillable water bottle. Kick off the summer right, and Tri for Mike!
