About This Activity
The 5th Annual Kennebec Valley Coaching Downtown Rundown Proudly Presents…..
The Flyin’ Mile
Do you have any idea how fast you can run a mile?
Do you have any idea how fast you can run a mile when it's flat and downhill?
Do you know how fast you can run a mile with the greatest of good vibes?
The answer? Faster than you think you can, and that’s pretty stinkin’ fast.
Show yourself what you can do at The Downtown Rundown Flyin' Mile on September 3rd at 8 o'clock. As always, 100% of all proceeds go to two phenomenal causes.
Over the past 5 years, Kennebec Valley Coaching has donated over $10,000 to lots and lots and lots of beloved local causes. This year, in honor of our 5th anniversary, we're bringing back two of our all time favorites...The Hearts for Ezra Foundation and our very own Augusta Chief of Police, Bob Gregoire.
The Hearts for Ezra Foundation raises funds to help support Spinal Muscular Atrophy research in memory of Ezra Bessey.
Augusta Chief of Police, Bob Gregoire is successfully relearning to walk after a Serious motorcycle accident. Money raised goes to offset the cost of physical and occupational therapy as he continues to serve our city.
Pre register online at active.com. Race day registration is also available. The first 50 registrants will receive a Kennebec Valley Coaching 5th Anniversary sticker -- there are only 50, and they’re only at The Flyin’ Mile!

The route for The Flyin' Mile is flat, downhill, and really fast!!! You'll start on the big, green bridge, near the fire station. You'll be cheered on by your friends and your bridge, and your friends down below at KVC. Straight over the bridge, hang a sharp left at the rotary, down past City Hall, over the little bridge, hang another left onto Front Street, and you'll finish right at KVC! The whole route is on sidewalks, with volunteers at every crossing. How fast do you think you can cover this route???
