About This Activity

The Audubon County Hospital Foundation, in conjunction with the Audubon County Fair Board, is hosting the 2nd Annual Audubon Mud Run on Saturday, July 18, 2015. The race track at the Audubon County Fair Grounds will be transformed into a 1-mile fun mud run/walk obstacle course. Participants will have the chance to run through mud pits, climb over walls, navigate through tire fields, and tackle a handful of other surprise obstacles before reaching the finish line. The run accommodates runners of any skill level and emphasizes the fun of the event over speed or agility. All obstacles are optional and there is no time limit on completing the track.

Event details and schedule

This year's mud run will be set up a little differently than last year. When you register you will choose a starting time to eliminate the crowded check-in and starting line. The first set of individual runners will begin at 4:00 PM. Then a set of teams will begin at 4:10 PM, followed by another group of individuals and so on. Each starting time has a limited capacity so please register early as they are first come, first serve. If you absolutely need to be a time frame that is full please contact the Foundation office (712.563.5295).

Check-in will be at the grandstand ticket booth. Please check-in 30 minutes prior to your starting time.

Runners will access the starting line through the gate in front of the grandstand. Runners will be allowed through the gate once the group before them has started.  

The fair board will have cold beverages and food available for purchase starting at 3:30 PM. Farm Rocks, a young country/rock cover band, will be performing from 4:00-8:00PM in the grandstand. We encourage spectators to fill the grandstand to cheer on the participants and listen to the band.
