About This Activity

Night of the Running Dead 5K

Register for this unique event and join the fun, in this UNTIMED event! We encourage you to run, walk, shuffle, or crawl your way around the well-marked trails at Pineland Farms while enjoying the SCARE ZONES. We strongly encourage Zombie or scary costumes for all participants! Race will be held, October 24th at 5:33pm in the “Grove” at Pineland Farms, New Gloucester, ME.

All entrants will begin their Run/Walk through the eerie, wooded trails of Pineland Farms at dusk. Participants will meander their way through darkening trails and past several SCARE ZONES intended to frighten the humans and deter the zombies! If participants make it to the finish line (just kidding), they will be rewarded with 2 free beers compliments of Baxter Brewing and a live band! Veggies By Day will be playing in the tent from 7-10pm.
Night of the Running Dead 5K is first and foremost for FUN and designed to raise money for local non-profits. We ask participants to be courteous and patient with other runners and volunteers.

Because this is a Halloween/Zombie-themed run we are going to take every precaution in keeping participants safe. This event is an untimed run/walk and NO physical contact along the course will be tolerated. NO props will be allowed during the run or at the event that could harm anyone (didn’t your mother teach you not to run with scissors?). Each participant will be required to sign an agreement adhering to these guidelines (see registration waiver).

We are offering a cash prize of $100 to the best costume as determined by the Race Director and staff. (Bribes are encouraged) Any "bribes" for best costume will be split amongst the non-profit SCARE ZONES.

We are also offering a prize to the best SCARE ZONE based upon zombie/participant votes. The best SCARE ZONE will receive a $500 donation!

Sign up today and take advantage of the early-bird discount! $30 entry fee valid until September 29th then $35 until October 23. You can register on site on the October 24th until 5:30 for $40.
