Run For Good 5K - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
We put the Run For Good 5K on at the beginning of November every year to benefit the Piedmont Park Conservancy and support them in all that they do in taking care of Piedmont Park.
Piedmont Park is maintained through a public-private partnership between the City of Atlanta and the Piedmont Park Conservancy (PPC). The City of Atlanta (COA) takes care of all parks within its jurisdiction, thus limiting its resources, the Piedmont Park Conservancy supports the City’s efforts by covering all the remaining aspects of the maintenance, preservation and restoration of Piedmont Park.
The Conservancy is a not for profit and as such depends on the support of individuals, foundations and corporations in order to achieve its mission. The Run For Good 5K is an opportunity to support the PPC as well as a great chance to come out and take a run around Piedmont Park.
Event details and schedule
The race starts at 8:00 AM on the 1st November. Though early, you will have gotten one extra hour of sleep that night, which is why we pick the first Sunday of November for the event, so it will feel like 9:00 AM!
In order to get your number, please try and be there early, bring your registration so that you may pick up your race packet. Registration will remain open till just before the start of the event on Sunday morning for those who have not had a chance to register before.
Parking is available in the lot that is shared by the Piedmont Park and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Entrances to this are on both Piedmont and Monroe.
The race will start and end on the Promenade which is to the left as you exit the lower level of the parking lot.
By late October the morning weather can be quite cool, so make sure you have checked the forecast.
