About This Activity
Online registration is closed. Please register at event 7:00 - 8:00 am.
The Red Neck Romp is an adventure race that has 17 total obstacles that combine running, climbing, lifting, sliding, balance and MUD!! The course is divided into two sections the “Half-a-Red Neck” (half course) and the “Completely Red Neck” (full course), as well as the “Lil Romper” (kids course). The event will have multiple heats with 10-15 runners in each heat. Heats will be divided between competitive runners and those looking just to have some Red Neck Fun. All fitness levels welcome.
We highly encourage you to have as much fun as possible. Red Neck costumes are highly recommended for all participants, but leave your pig “Milo” at home. Running with a friend or a group is also encouraged. No sense in having all the fun by yourself. This is a great way to get over some of the more challenging obstacles and you can encourage each other when the Mud gets deep.
Never competed in an adventure race before? Don’t get your overalls in a bunch! The obstacles are all very obtainable. Not saying they are a cake walk, because they will challenge you. The “Half-a-Red Neck” will have less intense obstacles, but don’t be a Bacon Eating Chicken, try the “Completely Redneck” course and let out your inner Redneck! You can always skip an obstacle, but if you do you will have to do some sort of physical challenge like jumping jacks, burpees or something really Redneck.
What if I just want to do this for fun? FUN is the name of the game...We will let the competitive Rednecks go in the first set of heats. Then we will let the FUN Rednecks show them how it’s done. Everyone will receive a medal upon completion of their course. We will award additional medals for the top three placers in categories based on age and gender. We will have a “Boss Hog” award for the overall quickest Male and Female.
You get a medal, a Redneck T-shirt and a whole lot of fun and games for the entry fee. Most importantly all the proceeds go toward two local Foundations - the Team Jack Foundation and the West Holt Medical Services Foundation. So grab your bacon and come hang out for a day of great food, fun games and lots of Red Neck Filled Muddy Obstacles. R U Redneck Enuf!!
T-shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed if you register after June 20, 2014.
