On Saturday, August 3rd, Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust will be hosting a 5K Meadow Run at its headquarters, Skyfields Arboretum, 1461 Old Keene Road, starting at 10am. Runners will loop around Skyfield Arboretum and into Lawton State Forest owned by the Department of Conservation and Recreation for an exciting race course through 2 meadows, pine forests, and quiet country roads. The terrain varies from grass in the meadows, forest trails, and pavement. Some inclines are present in the second half of the run before hitting the second meadow.
Early registration is strongly encouraged. Day-of until 9:15am for a 10am start time. Bib pick-up will start at 9am on the day-of. 1st men and women finishers will be awarded giftcards to marathon sports.
Registration includes race entry, race t-shirt, and one drink ticket. All proceeds go towards the nonprofit, protecting land and stewarding trails in the area. There will be a post-run party where all are invited to join for beer by local brewery, Honest Weight, food, music, and games. Open to runners and non-runners!
