About This Activity

Come join us once again to celebrate Al Pless, who devoted much of his life to supporting the Athens Land Trust, and who was a passionate cyclist (and lover of life!).  Show your support for Al and the Land Trust, while riding 60, 38, or 18 beautiful miles through Clarke and Oglethorpe Counties. All routes depart at 9 A.M. from the Jittery Joe's Roaster, 425 Barber Street, Athens, and are fully sagged and supported.

To make this year's Al Pless Ride even more special, we are joining forces with the Clarke County Foundation for Excellence in Education. They will be providing a fabulous post-ride spread of good eats and treats.

If you'd like to join us just for the post-ride meal, you can do so for just $25 (all funds will be donated to the Athens Land Trust).

There is ample parking for all at the start.

Event details and schedule

All routes depart from the Jittery Joe's Roaster, 425 Barber Street in Athens, on Saturday, April 23rd. All routes - 60, 38, and 18 miles - depart at 9 A.M. and are fully sagged and supported. At the end of the ride, all participants are invited to join us for a celebration party with food, snacks, and drinks, hosted by the Foundation for Excellence in Education, at the Roaster.
