About This Activity

Join us for another incredible trip up and down the proposed route for the Firefly Rail Trail.  We depart at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 22nd, from a new location this year - Jittery Joe's NEW Roaster on Barber Street - and follow the path of the planned Firefly Trail.  The full out-and-back route is 85 miles, rolling through Winterville, Crawford, Maxeys, and Union Point.  Shorter options of 60, 40, and 15 miles are available, making this a perfect ride for cyclists of all interests and abilities.   Four great sag stops - all routes are fully sagged and supported.

Your funds and your participation go to help promote and support the development and completion of the Firefly Rail Trail.  This route will be a real boon to riders, walkers, nature lovers, historians (the ride is named railway that ran from Athens to Union Point), and the entire Northeast Georgia community.

All participants will receive an event t-shirt emblazoned with the spectacular Firefly logo.
