Third Annual Dire Wolf 10 Mile Trail Run
Sat, Oct 15, 2016
Running-10 Mile - Individual Age group/open
About This Activity
The Dire Wolf is a challenging trail run consisting of hills, rocks, roots, a rugged downhill switchback, and more hills. The course is a mix of quad-track, single-track, and grass, with a very short park road section. The course this year has been expanded to ten miles and now includes some of the nicest trails in the park. Runners of all speeds and abilities are welcome, but novice trail runners be advised that this course is not your average run in the park. Members of the junior and senior high school cross country teams are stationed all throughout the course to provide direction and enthusiastic encouragement.
Awards ceremony held immediately after last runner crosses finish line. Unique wolf-themed awards to male and female overall winners. Medals to top 3 male/female in following age groups: 0-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60+
Start/finish, registration, and portable bathrooms all conveniently located near parking area. Post-race refreshments provided for all participants. Emergency medical services on standby.
