Local veterans and citizens of Annville, Pennsylvania, are coming together to host a 5K run and 1 mile walk on Saturday, November 12, 2016, in honor of the daily sacrifices made by men and women who have served and are serving in the military, past and present. The race begins and ends at the Annville-Cleona Community Pool and the course takes runners of all ages on roads through residential neighborhoods through the quaint town of Annville. Proceeds from the race will help the Annville Activities Committee fund the town’s 27th Annual Memorial Day Parade, Pennsylvania’s largest Memorial Day parade, involving over 5,000 people each year. A portion of the proceeds will also be donated to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc., a Pennsylvania non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that offers financial assistance for medical emergencies to Pennsylvania wounded warriors, their families, and veterans.
