The Historic Bay Highlands Annual 5Kis a local fundraiser to support our community and improve our parks. Our goals include expanding a butterfly garden with native plants and a pathway, installing a rain garden to soak up excess rain and alleviate flooding at Augusta Park, and to provide a fun safe environment for kids to play.
Please sign up to participate as a walker, runner, or volunteer. Strollers and friendly pets on a leash are welcome. The cost to participate is $22 per person. There is a $7 fee for children ages 3-10 which covers the cost of their medal and refreshments. I hope you find these costs reasonable. This is a fundraiser after all for our community and parks. Donations are always welcome!
**We are exploring moon bounce options and will post here if we are able to get one.** If you want to help make the moonbounce a reality please consider placing a donation when you register for the race or volunteer. Simply send me a note and I will use 100% of your contribution towards the moonbounce.
Medals will be given to all participants. Please register early! Race day registrations will be taken, but for planning purposes it really helps if you can register by May 20th. Thank you!!
There is a small $2 fee per transaction on RunSignUp, so register your entire family or group at one time. That way you only pay the fee once.
The race course is approx. 2.5K, so runners will complete the race course loop twice to complete the 5K. After leaving Augusta Park racers will head to Highland Beach. It's a beautiful and mostly flat route that everyone is sure to love! There is a modified course which includes a couple of steep hills for those that like a challenge. Runners will start at approx. 9:10 am and walkers will follow immediately after.
After the Historic Bay Highlands 5K stay for an awesome Finisher Party at Augusta Park! Enjoy the drinks and snacks provided by our sponsors. Particpate in the Kids Book Swap. Kids are encouraged to bring a book for a Book Swap after they finish racing, and everyone is welcome to participate in the fun.
